Lymington lost the toss and were put into bat. Charlotte and Bella were a strong opening pair and faced some competent bowling from Burley. Charlotte sent a delightful leg glance whizzing to the boundary and they both squeezed every run possible out of the first 4 overs, putting 23 runs on the board.

The batting went from strength to strength with excellent performances from Oscar, Ossian, Dash and Archie, with several fours not only making it over the boundary, but over the carpark and road too!

Lymington finished on 342; one of the team’s highest totals on record.

The bowling started well with some tight fielding too. Archie notching up 2 wickets, and Bruno a mighty 4 with a hat-trick in the 7th over. Precision bowling from Zach W produced a maiden over, and only giving 2 runs from his 2nd.

Burley gave it their all on the last 3 overs and finished on 227.

Lymington stayed focussed throughout and gave an impressive overall performance. An enjoyable game, at a beautiful ground. Thank you to Burley for being such sporting hosts.
