A dramatic finish to our first game of the season saw the pairs go down by a nail biting 3 runs. Lymington bowled first and there was some good bowling all round. The fielding was tight and we looked sharp in all positions. Brockenhurst batted well and posted a healthy target of 282 runs for us to chase.
All of our pairs contributed to the scoreboard which was good to see although some accurate bowling from Brockenhurst meant we lost some crucial wickets leaving us with a 40 run target for the final pair. Zac P channelled his inner Ben Stokes hitting 20 from the first over, including two powerful 6s as he made his way to make 31 runs narrowly missing out on what would have been an historic victory. The home crowd supported brilliantly so all in all it was a great start to the summer season.
